Safe and challenging learning environments through the use of classroom management skills:
I believe I have achieved most of this element so far, as I have provided a classroom that is safe and challenging and used my classroom management skills appropriately.
I have established in my previous classrooms an environment where all students learning and ideas are valued by all in the class. I have developed a positive learning environment by including all students and planning for all abilities. All students get the chance to be an active participant in the lesson in some way or the other. I have done this by making sure all students get a chance to participate and voice their ideas at some point.
I will need to develop a strategy where students can create their own classroom rules so that all students feel they can.
I need to talk to a few teachers at my next school and look at some of their classroom strategies on classroom rules and management of student behaviours.
